In its mission to discover new culinary talents and nurture young chefs, the Culinary Arts School of HELP College of Arts and Technology (HELP CAT) recently organised the 5th Nutri Chef Challenge 2017. Leong Jing Ying and Amelia Low Chuan Yin from SMK Taman Connaught emerged as champions after defeating 13 teams of students.
HELP CAT organised a two-month exhibition of works by the renowned Mexican artist Frida Kahlo in collaboration with the Mexican Embassy in Malaysia.
Ghugan Mohan, a Certified Accounting Technician (CAT) student at HELP College of Arts and Technology, scored the top mark of 96% in MA1 (Management Information) in the recent CAT exam. That represents the best score in Malaysia and second best in the world.

The 6th Convocation of HELP College of Arts and Technology was a joyous event for the 230 graduates who received their degrees, diplomas and professional qualifications on 6 May 2017.
The Festival of the Mussels. This was organized for first time at HELP CAT, and represents another nod to European culinary culture and tradition.
Yet another culinary event was celebrated at HELP CAT in March: Gout de France (Good France), which is an international event bringing together restaurants, embassies and chefs from five continents to celebrate French cuisine.
