Dr Chan Teng Heng

Associate Professor Dr Chan Teng Heng is currently the Vice President of HELP CAT, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. His responsibilities are to oversee joint-ventures with foreign and local partners of the College, and to manage the integration of new ventures into the College. He is also responsible for the finances of the College and remains as the Business Development Director of HELP University. Formerly, Dr Chan has taught strategic management, general management, human resource strategy and human resource related subjects for 13 years as an Associate Professor of Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. He was also a fellow judge for the Singapore’s Human Resource Management Award for 4 years in Singapore. Prior to the academic experience in Singapore, he has a decade of exposure in commercial and industrial firms, and more than 9 years in business consulting for various industries including hospital, manufacturing, trading, government and foreign embassies in Malaysia. He has also consulted for the Commonwealth Secretariat based in United Kingdom, and the state government in master planning. With a bachelor’s degree in Science (Malaya), a Master in Business Administration (Aston, UK), and a PhD in Science (University of London), his research focus is on the knowledge worker and the impact of human resource strategic practices on companies.
