Yong Kah Mun

“”The UoL degree was rigorous and challenging. My lecturers always said that our degree would help in our working life. I never quite believed them but on hindsight, they were right. I had to learn how to organise my studies. This has helped me tremendously in my working life. When you start working, you have to learn on your own sometimes and thus, manage yourself. Since I learnt how to manage my own studies, applying this to work wasn’t hard. It also teaches me to handle stress so much better.

“The UoL degree really prepared me for working life in that the lecturers don’t want to hold your hands; a lot of the research and practice is done on your own. This has helped built my research and reasoning skills at work and also form my individuality in life because I do not settle for an answer without justification.”
